Every summer, Auburn University hosts over 100 summer programs designed to educate and inspire youth in a variety of academic, athletic, and extracurricular endeavors. Participants have the opportunity to further their education and skills while experiencing life at Auburn University and making new friends from around the country. We invite you to join us in 2013!

The Alabama High School Graduation Exam (AHSGE) will be administered on the following dates:
Monday, September 15, 2008 Reading
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Language
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 Social Studies
Thursday, September 18, 2008 Science / Biology (Both Tests)
Friday, September 19, 2008 Mathematics

Georgia Pacific and Choctaw Co Schools - Digital Math Initiative
A partnership with Georgia Pacific has provided funds for a Digital Math Initiative at Choctaw County Schools. Funds were used to purchase equipment for math instruction at both high schools.

Choctaw County Schools participate in Microsoft IT Academy
Choctaw County High School is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Microsoft Information Technology (IT) Academy Program. The IT Academy program offers many unique educational benefits to fully prepare students for the 21st century and validate their learning through internationally recognized IT industry certifications.
Program Benefits
By earning a Microsoft Certification, students will:
Validate the technical knowledge and skills they learned
Gain a competitive edge in the job market
Demonstrate their commitment to the IT profession
Enable a career development path for ongoing advancement of Microsoft technology skills
Future plans include offering the same program at Southern Choctaw High School.

Parenting and Family Literacy Center
The Choctaw County Board of Education will be holding Parent Technology Classes at the Family Literacy Center beginning on Monday, August 24, 2009 and ending Monday, August 31, 2009. The classes will start at 4:30 P.M. and end at 6:30 P.m. Parents will learn basic computer skills in these classes. For additional informational about classes and resources available to parents contact Maranda Coleman at 205-459-3031 at ext. 2028.
